If you’re planning a relaxed, fun wedding in Leeds – The Mansion is a great venue to have it. Rosie and Sam’s day was full of joy from start to finish. The whole day had a proper buzz to it, something that I love to capture as a Leeds Wedding photographer. Loads of belly laughs, big hugs and one of the best dance floors I’ve been on! Honestly, it was a late drive home, as I struggled to tear me and my camera away from the epic shapes being thrown!
I love the story of these two. They met while studying pharmacy at uni in Manchester. Rosie even tried to set Sam up with some of her mates before realising she was into him herself! Their first night out was a nautical-themed bar crawl that ended in the Gay Village at 4am – pretty iconic first date territory. After that, Sam asked her out properly the following week, and as they say – that was that.

The whole day took place at the Mansion in Roundhay Park. If you’re on the hunt for a venue in the Leeds area, it’s definitely one to check out. The rooms are full of natural light (which is a dream for me as a photographer – lush), and the park outside is perfect for a chilled wander for some portraits without disappearing from the action. So if you want that mix of being close to the city in a beautiful setting, this might be the place for you!
Their day was full of laughter, meaningful moments, and no pressure to perform. Just a celebration of their story with the people they love the most.
And then the evening hit. And the party properly kicked off. The dance floor was rammed – sweaty, chaotic, hilarious – in the best possible way. Even now, it stands out as one of the most high-energy evening receptions I’ve captured as a creative wedding photographer.
So, Rosie and Sam – thank you for the trust, the laughs, and for throwing a wedding that reminded me why I love being a Leeds-based wedding photographer!
